Overview

Experience Sea World’s own Barrier Reef lagoon where you will see more fascinating marine life than a dive on the reef itself. Get up close and personal in our stunning reef environment, featuring a selection of beautiful tropical fish, rays and other fascinating marine life including our harmless Leopard and White-tip Reef sharks.

Follow an educational trail with underwater signage and look through to the Shark Lagoon to see the larger Sharks.

The best feature of this experience is the tropical water, which is heated year round to a very comfortable 26 degrees. Our most popular adventure is perfect for guests aged 10 years and above.

In the water, participants are always accompanied by a Dive Leader to ensure their safety at all times. Places of safe haven are available in the design of Shark Bay so that participants can stand and rest whilst snorkelling. Program duration is approximately 60 minutes with approximately 20 minutes in the water.

Participants are supplied with a wet suit, mask, fins and a snorkel for the length of the tour. Floatation vests are available upon request.

The Tropical Reef Snorkel program is available for guests 10 years of age and over at a cost of $50.00* per person.

Tropical Reef Snorkel programs are available 7 days a week and have approximately 12 participants per program.

As the Sea World front gate does not open until 9:30am, if your Tropical Reef Snorkel program time is 10:15am, in order to avoid the queues and not be delayed for your program, please assemble at the Meeting Point sign located to the right of the front gate at 9:15am to be escorted in to the Check-In Centre.

The Nikon Indy 300 will take place on the Gold Coast 23 – 26 October 2008. You may experience traffic delays on your route to Sea World due to this event so please allow additional travelling time to ensure you are on time for your Animal Adventures program.

*All prices are in Australian dollars, are valid until 30 June 2009, are subject to change without notice, and are inclusive of GST.
