Overview

Sea World offers the only program in Australia where participants can get close to our stunning reef flora and fauna in a controlled environment using underwater viewing helmets.

Without the need for dive qualifications, guests are able to undergo a dive-like encounter in Shark Bay’s Reef Lagoon while getting up close and personal with beautiful tropical fish, rays and other fascinating marine life including our harmless Leopard and White-tip Reef sharks.

Follow an educational trail with underwater signage and look through to the Shark Lagoon to see the larger Sharks.

In the water, participants are always accompanied by a Dive Leader to ensure their safety at all times. Program duration is approximately 50 minutes with approximately 20 minutes in the water.

Participants are supplied with a wet suit and all equipment for the duration of the tour.

The Reef Helmet Dive is available to guests aged 14 years of age and over at a cost of $80.00* per person.

Reef Helmet Dive programs are available 7 days a week and have approximately six participants per program.

The Nikon Indy 300 will take place on the Gold Coast 23 – 26 October 2008. You may experience traffic delays on your route to Sea World due to this event so please allow additional travelling time to ensure you are on time for your Animal Adventures program.

* All prices are in Australian dollars, are valid until 30 June 2009, are subject to change without notice, and are inclusive of GST.
