Overview

The Dolphin Family Adventure Program is designed to offer adults with children (aged five to 13 years of age inclusive and a minimum height of 110cm) a once in a lifetime experience of meeting and interacting with a Sea World dolphin and trainer together, as a family group, in a fun, educational, shallow water encounter.

Each experience is unique based upon the guests, trainers and animals.

The Dolphin Family Adventure program is available to a family group with a minimum of one adult and one child (aged five to 13 years of age and a minimum height of 110 cm). The maximum number of participants is 6 and must include one child (aged five to 13 years of age and a minimum height of 110 cm). The cost regardless of number of participants is $720.00* per group. Price includes one souvenir photograph and one souvenir DVD.

A family portrait photograph taken by a Sea World photographer capturing your unique experience is included in the program cost. Program duration is approximately 45 minutes with approximately 20 minutes in the shallow water.

What better way to capture your once-in-a-lifetime experience than with a souvenir DVD? Your souvenir DVD is included and features footage of you getting up close and personal with Sea World’s wonderful marine life. Take your experience home to relive again and again.

The use of a supplied wet suit or rash vest and board shorts is required in all water-based programs and is included in the cost of the program. Sizes range from XS to 7XL. Should your size requirements not be met, please contact Guest Services to make other arrangements. Swimwear must be worn underneath wet suits or rash vests and board shorts. A deposit of a driver's license or credit card swipe will be required.

For the safety of the animals we do not permit jewellery to be worn on any Animal Adventures program.

Adults wishing to participate in a dolphin experience with other adults or with children aged 14 years and over should book on the Dolphin Aqua Adventure Adult program.

Dolphin Family Adventure programs are available 7 days a week.

CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION

• Minimum of one adult and one child (aged five to 13 years of age and a minimum height of 110cm). The maximum number of participants is 6 and MUST include one child (aged five to 13 years of age and a minimum height of 110cm).
• Participants must a minimum of 110cm in height. Children will be measured on the day of participation. If the child does not meet the height restriction they will not be able to participate and will not be eligible for a refund.
• Participants must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator participate in the program with them. There are no complimentary programs for translators. Persons acting as a translator must advise staff at the start of the program. Translators must satisfy all criteria.
• Participants must have controlled motor movement.
• Guests are not permitted to wear any visible jewellery of any type including necklaces, bracelets, ear rings, body piercings, religious and cultural ornamentation, hair clips and pins (other than a single hair band), unless it is unable to be removed then it has to be taped.
• Participants must follow directions quickly to the satisfaction of staff.
• Participants must be able to quickly exit the pool area unassisted.
• Based on medical advice, participants must not be pregnant.
• Participants must not have any open cuts or infections.
• Guests with disabilities are asked to call Customer Connect on 13 33 86 directly to determine suitability to participate in the Animal Adventures programs. Please note a limited number of special needs programs are available for people with disabilities that otherwise prohibit them from participating.
